2010 Convention and Banquet Registration

Make plans to attend the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters convention and awards banquet on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Headliners Club in Austin: www.headlinersclub.com.

Also being presented are awards from the Headliners Foundation of Austin.
The TAPB business session begins at 1:30 p.m. The awards banquet begins at 6:30 p.m. (cash bar starts at 6 p.m.).

The Headliners Club is on the 21st floor of the Chase Bank Tower in downtown Austin, at 221 West 6th Street. A parking garage is available (cash only), for the event.

This award is given in memory of longtime Texas journalist Carole
Kneeland. Kneeland died in 1998 after a lengthy battle with cancer. At
the time of her death she was vice president/news at KVUE-TV in Austin.

The TAPB and the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas will
again honor outstanding efforts by a radio or television station on FOI
issues.
There is no entry fee. One entry per station, please.
The winner will be announced Saturday, April 24, 2010 during the TAPB
convention awards banquet at the Headliners Club in Austin.

2009-2010 Texas AP Broadcasters Student/Scholarship Competition

Students at colleges and universities in Texas that receive
Associated Press services, or who are interning at or working at AP
member stations, are eligible to apply for scholarships through the
Texas AP Broadcasters.
TAPB commits at least $1,000 each year to be given to students with a
goal of entering any area of broadcast journalism after graduation.

THE RULES:
A. The applicant currently must be enrolled as a freshman, sophomore
or junior at a school that receives AP services, or the student must be
an intern at an AP member station.
